Terms of service
Last updated 9 September 2026
[to confirm] marks a commercial term that is still being reviewed before it is final.
These are the terms on which Smart MiM provides its software to restaurant groups. They are short on purpose. We would rather tell you plainly what we do, what we promise and what we do not, than bury it in forty pages nobody reads. When we change these terms, the date at the top changes with them. If anything here is unclear, write to hello@mim-smart.com.
What you are buying
Smart MiM is a subscription. It is priced per branch, per month [to confirm], and the price is quoted to you in writing before you sign anything. The figure in the quote is the figure you pay.
Every department is included in that price. The till, the kitchen screens, the back-office departments and the owner's app come together on one subscription. There is no module to add later and no department priced separately.
Onboarding
Bringing your group onto Smart MiM is quoted once, in writing, before the work begins [to confirm]. It is a single figure, not an hourly meter. We would rather tell you now what it costs than tell you on the install day.
Your data is yours
Everything your restaurants put into Smart MiM belongs to you: sales, recipes, stock counts, staff records, all of it. You may export it in full on any day you choose, without asking us first.
We may not read your sales. The only exceptions are the work of operating the service and supporting you when you ask for help; there is no third reason. How we handle your data day to day is written on the Privacy page and the Security page.
Availability
You will not find a string of nines in these terms. What you get instead is a till that keeps selling when the internet does not: it keeps taking orders and payments while it is offline, and settles with the rest of the group once the connection returns. Service in your branch does not stop because a router did.
Updates
Smart MiM ships a release every week. Each one passes 297 automated gates before it reaches a branch; a change that fails a gate does not ship. We tell you when something is coming rather than promising it.
What we promise
We fix what breaks, fast. We tell you when something is coming rather than promising it. That is the whole of the promise. We do not wrap it in warranty language, because a page of exclusions would not make the software any better.
Ending the contract
Either side may end the contract with 30 days' notice [to confirm]. Your data stays yours, and it remains exportable on the last day exactly as on the first.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar.
